I started building websites by accident in the summer of 2000. Today, I work full-time for LifeChurch.tv as the lead mobile app designer for YouVersion, more commonly known as the Bible App, one of the most popular apps in the iTunes store.
I take freelance projects when it seems like a good fit.
Philosophy
Design is not art. Design is solving problems. For most apps and sites, their biggest problem is lousy content (the words, photos, videos, etc), not the layout. Content is the most essential design element. The minimum ingredients for an amazing site or app is always interesting content and an elegant layout with ample whitespace.
A site or app is never done. It's born, but you have to feed and nurture it to keep it alive.
Most sites are too busy. I specialize in removing junk from the screen. I major on whitespace.
Why? Because design should get out of the way of the user. A well-designed experience will cause your visitors to think more about you than how your app looks. I want the site to disappear so that the visitors feel they are interacting with you, not a screen.
Skills
That's enough about me. Tell me about you.
